The Cartwright

We went for Sunday Lunch, which was excellent, reasonably priced, great quality, relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommended and will be going back soon.

We love going to the cartwright arms the food is lovely. The only part that was a slight let down on this occasion was the service we needed to request for our dirty plates to be cleared there was a long wait between the starter and the main which was disappointing.

What a great find. We'd eaten locally before but fancied a change. The menu was limited to 5 choices in each of the starter/main/dessert category but that suited us. The food was excellent and we were waited on pleasantly and efficiently. There was a delay between main and dessert but that allowed for the food to settle and we were not hurried. The restaurant was moderately busy for this Sunday outing. The only very minor issue was that our booking wasn't recorded but we were still greeted warmly and it made no difference from our persective to the day out.

Most helpful friendly staff. Great food well presented in comfortable surroundings. Overall a very pleasant experience. We will be back again!

Saturday lunch for seven tired ladies after a long morning of hiking over the hills. Greeted by very welcoming staff and had the restaurant to ourselves. Wonderful food! Large portions! Very happy and will definitely cone again next time we visit the area. Thank you for a fabulous lunch.
